Newbold is a neighborhood in South Philadelphia. Its boundaries are from Broad Street on the east to 18th Street on the west, Washington Avenue on the north to Wolf Street on the south.
Many Philadelphia residents confuse Newbold with Point Breeze, as they basically share the border running North-South. Point Breeze is just a bit further West, while Newbold is closer to the Broad Street Line (subway transportation) into Center City and down towards the sports stadiums. To develop a further sense of community, the “Newbold Neighbors Association” changed its name to “East Point Breeze Neighbors” in 2016.
